tiq ("we", "us") is a game where players watch the public reposts of other players and guess their in-game IQ score. This policy explains what data we collect, why, and how you can delete it.

1. Data we collect

• Account data: your email address, used to sign in.
• TikTok account data: when you connect TikTok, you give us your username and add a temporary code to your bio. We read your public profile (username, display name, profile picture and bio) through Apify to check the code. The code is deleted after verification. We never receive your TikTok password.
• Reposts: after you connect TikTok, we fetch the 10 most recent public reposts from your own TikTok profile through a third-party data provider (Apify) and store their video IDs and the original creators' usernames. We do not download or store the videos themselves; they are played using TikTok's official embed player. We refresh this list at most once a week.
• Game data: your in-game IQ score, the guesses you make, and the guesses others make about you.

2. How we use it

• To sign you in and verify that a TikTok account belongs to you.
• To show your reposts to other players in the guessing game, and to calculate in-game scores.

We do not sell your data, we do not use it for advertising, and we do not share it with third parties except the service providers listed below.

3. What other players see

Other players see the reposted videos you imported and your in-game IQ score after they make a guess. Your email address is never shown to other players.

4. Service providers

• Supabase – database and authentication.
• GitHub Pages – website hosting.
• Apify – reads public TikTok profiles and reposts.
• Brevo – sends login emails.
• TikTok – video playback (embed player). TikTok's own privacy policy applies to the embedded player.

5. Retention and deletion

We keep your data while your account exists. You can disconnect TikTok or delete your account at any time from your profile page, or by emailing us. When you delete your account, we delete your email, TikTok data, imported reposts and game data within 30 days.

6. Age

tiq is intended for users aged 13 and older. If you are under the age required in your country to consent to data processing, you must have permission from a parent or guardian.

7. Note about "IQ"

The IQ score in tiq is a game score based on other players' guesses (everyone starts at 100). It is not a real or scientific IQ measurement.
